PRODUCT LEADERSHIP & DESIGN MANAGEMENT

I have experience with all aspects of the product development cycle, as both a designer and a director.  I can either be a part of this entire process, or just bits of this process.

  1. Understanding the strategic goals of the business, or helping define the strategic goals of the business.  

  2. Developing a clear picture of how the product intends to add value by satisfying business objectives and under-served needs in the market.

  3. Determine any creative pillars & agree these with key stakeholders.

  4. The design of features that align with product/business planning.

  5. Scoping out prototyping work so that any creative or risky features can be investigated by defining a clear hypothesis and having a solid idea of what determines a successful outcome.

  6. Managing feature development (agile & waterfall).  Making sure key technologies/concepts/features are broken down, planned, and proven to work within the resource constraints.

  7. Ensuring the integrity of brand/IP values throughout the development process.  

  8. Facilitating cross-department communication and leadership throughout the process:  making sure marketing, analytics, art, engineering, etc are all on the same journey.

  9. Monitoring & interpreting key KPI’s and user test results to pivot feature design around customer wish-fulfillment.

I also have experience in successfully pitching for funds, including private equity investment, publisher funds and government grants, as a part of this process.
